Content
Introduction - 5 - 10 minutes
The introduction will focus on what a professional image is and why it is
important. This will be accomplished through the use of visuals, research
findings and brief facilitated discussion.
Components of a Professional Image
The following categories will be addressed:
Appearance and Wardrobe - 15 to 30 minutes
The focus will be overall grooming, clothing fit, construction, style, color
and wardrobe basics. Participants will receive a personal style assessment that
can be completed at the session or on their own depending on the time available.
Business Protocol and Etiquette - 20 to 40 minutes
This topic will emphasize communications (phone, email, fax, the art of
conversation, nonverbal communication, elevator speech), ethics, introductions,
appointments, meetings, business cards, invitations and replies, attending
business events, employee departures, business gift giving, recognition,
traveling, networking, volunteer service and fundraising, weekends and public
behavior.
Participants will receive an Etiquette IQ that can be completed at the
session or on their own depending on the time available.
Summary and Q&A
An open Q&A will follow a brief review of what we covered.
